 Baseline Newsletter April 2023
From the President's Desk

Patera,Michele-2022ed.jpgGreetings PMIGL Members and Happy April!

PMIGL has always been dedicated to support our membership with insightful and valuable professional development, networking opportunities, volunteerism, and community outreach good works. One of our key annual offerings is the upcoming in-person Spring Symposium on April 21st (see below). I invite you to sign up for this event and spend the day with your peers to gain valuable PDUs. Hope to see you there!

Our annual Volunteer Appreciation Event in March was a success and is one way the chapter recognizes all the hard work and contributions from each of the volunteers. In addition to the delicious appetizers and camaraderie, each team member was presented a token of appreciation for their support in 2022. Thanks again to all the volunteers for their time and talent which allows our chapter to be successful and provide many membership benefits.

Thank you for your support and membership,

Michele Patera, PMP®

PMIGL President

Speaker: Scott Welle
Welle,Scott2023.jpgOutperformers are not born; they’re made. We ALL have the capacity to “raise our game,” and Scott Welle has spent more than 15 years helping people do this, personally and professionally. Scott’s 9 best selling books, articles, videos, podcasts and online programs inspire hundreds of thousands of people worldwide. He has a Master’s degree in Sports Psychology, is an adjunct professor at St. Olaf University and was recently named the 2021 Midwest Motivational Speaker of the Year. For “fun” (and because he’s a little crazy!), he’s completed 31 marathons, 5 Ironman triathlons, a 100-mile ultra marathon, and serves others by showing them how to tap into the mindset of challenging their self-limiting beliefs and aspiring to be their best every day.

We're Looking for Volunteers

PMIGL is always looking for members who want to be more involved with the chapter. This is a great way to support the growth of the chapter and earn valuable PDUs for re-certification. We are currently in need of volunteers for a number of committee projects in progress. Our current openings include the following:

  • Director, Speakers – (Volunteer incoming)
  • Social Project Manager
  • Manager, Golf Event
  • Manager of Finance AP -- Accounts Payable
If you are interested in helping with one of our committee projects, please fill out the Chapter Volunteer Information Form and send it to our Director of Volunteer Program and you will be put in touch with the committee chair.
